Claims Helpers are hosting a free information session to support community members in understanding the First Nations Child and Family Services and Jordan’s Principle Settlement. This session is designed to provide clear, accessible information about the settlement, including who may be eligible for compensation and how to submit a claim. It is an opportunity to learn more in a supportive and welcoming environment.

The session will include a group presentation outlining the settlement and claims process, followed by drop-in one-on-one support. Claims Helpers will be available to assist individuals privately with completing claim forms and answering questions specific to their situation. No appointment is required, and support is offered at no cost.

This information session will take place on February 20, 2026, from 10am to 4pm at Tillicum Lelum Health Centre in Nanaimo, BC. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about their rights under the settlement and to receive assistance throughout the claims process.
